Nutrition during cancer surgery

Nutritional needs of patients before surgery:
Surgery is a large body of trauma patients. Therefore, to patients before surgery a good diet, so that patients have a better physique in order to ensure smooth operation, and is a necessary condition to promote rehabilitation of patients. Therefore, patients should be some time before surgery to take specific measures to increase nutrition, such as weight loss patients to give more high-calorie, high protein, high vitamin diet, in which patients will gain weight in the short term; to give the more obese patients high protein, low fat diet, to save part of the protein and fat consumption, because too much body fat can affect wound healing. Nutritional needs after surgery:
Early after surgery using a special way to the general supply of nutrients, such as intravenous hyperalimentation. Gastrointestinal function to be restored to give a clean food or liquid food, gradual transition to semi-liquid food, followed over a period of time before the transition to a soft diet or regular diet, supplemented later to give the patient a lot of protein and vitamins. The principle of benevolence to give patients after high-protein, high calorie and high vitamin nutritional meals, such as beef, mutton and pork, chicken, fish, shrimp, eggs and soy products, can give the patient drink milk, lotus root starch, and fresh fruit juice, and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
